1. Adding New Benefits...Without Adding New Costs
Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services recently implemented their benefit in an organization that had 2,150 employees. When looking at adding new benefits, the company needed something that did not add cost to their benefit budget, and with healthcare costs increasing, the company was looking to offer their employees more options. In addition, the company knew that employees do have legal issues as shown by the garnishments in their payroll. The company consequently implemented Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services to help their employees and their family balance work life issues.
2. Addressing Absenteeism and Morale
Is employee absenteeism an issue in your company? Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services were added as a new voluntary benefit in a 1,875 employee company that was having trouble with employees taking off from work and low employee moral. Many of the employees' problems were legal issues, and being unable to afford an attorney caused many to neglect their legal issues, making situations worse. By offering Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services, the company let employees focus on their job without having to worry about unresolved legal issues. As a company, they were able to offer a valuable benefit with no cost to themselves, addressing their employees' needs in the process.
3. Complimenting Core Benefits
We worked with a 365 employee company whose employees were low to middle wage earners. Most of the company's benefit dollars were going toward healthcare. They wanted a benefit to add value to their current benefit package with no cost to the employer. They currently have an EAP, but the legal component was limited to just a phone call. Adding Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services enabled all employees in the plan to access an attorney at an affordable price. The company was also able to offer a benefit that showed their employees they cared about their personal and family issues.
4. Supporting HR
Are employee issues consuming a great deal of human resources time in your company? Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services was added in a 4,300 employee company where the HR Director was experiencing employees' personal legal issues, such as divorce and child support. Listening but with no answers, the director could only suggest to the employees that they use the yellow pages to look for an attorney. Realizing that legal issues are not always planned, the employer recognized that their employees’ legal issues were affecting productivity. By offering Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services as a voluntary benefit, the employer was able to give the employee an avenue that will lead them to a resolution for their legal issues in a confidential and economical way, without bogging down HR.
